Helping your business find the right skills…
Experienced and highly skilled students are available for anything from short-term project work and internally or externally focussed strategic business and operational/process reviews through to longer-term work placementsand is supported by the local Higher Education Institutes.
The programme is currently matching Masters level students, all of whom have significant business experience and are either half-way through or at the end of their course and Undergraduate students who are looking for business based experience to enhance both their coursework and longer-term employment opportunities.

All projects will receive the support of a Business advisor and a HEI Lecturer

Due to the educational remit of the projects, costs are minimal. |
What projects are eligible?
 |
The project must be of strategic importance to the business
|
 |
The project will involve an initial holistic review of the business before proceeding onto a review of a specific opportunity
|
 |
The business must be a Small to Medium Enterprise, SME, less than 250 employees
|
 |
The business needs to have a Business suport sponsor to advice and validate the project. |
What are the costs?
 |
There is no cost for registration or for the matching process
|
 |
There is a small charge, typically £50 to £100, dependent on the size of the business, for each successful student that is matched, this is to cover subsequent meeting costs and support commitments
|
 |
The HEI’s/students will each individually set a charge for project that will be used to cover some student expenses (travelling, research) and to invest in the educational resources of the supporting Higher Education Institution
|
 |
The business must agree to set aside sufficient time to steer the project, particularly in the early critical weeks when the Brief is agreed. |

What next?
 |
Create a login account for your business (or login if you have already created an account).

Once you have registered, you can create a project outline. This will be 'anonymous' in the public domain (ie users will not be able to see your company name or contact details).

Submit the project for review
|
 |
A Project Manager will contact you to approve the listing and provide advice on the next steps to access the second level of the site
|
 |
You will be able to review more detailed student listings and select several that have potential
|
 |
You will be notified by e-mail of any students that show an interest in your listing
|
 |
Once mutual interest is shown, the Project Manager will contact all parities to set up an initial meeting |
